Video Editing, Motion Graphics, Broadcasting, and Production
My first real job was as an intern at a government television station in the mid 2000's. I was selected because I spent much of my youth teaching myself video editing - cutting my editing teeth on Adobe Premiere, Media 100, and Newtek SpeedEdit. The job was an opportunity to learn all sorts of new skills, such as color grading; post effects; motion graphics; and even a touch of creating and animating 3D assets with Lightwave. After about six months, I became a Producer at the studio. When I moved back to California, I spent a bit of time working on small productions in producer & administrative roles. I've continued to work in video off and on over the years.
Video Editing & Graphics
The thing I most like to do when working on video projects, actually editing the content and graphics.

Production
Sometimes business skills come in handy on set. Though I have been out of broadcast for years, I have spent time doing more than editing on other projects.
Production Roles
Party Girl Music Video
In 2017 I was working alongside Triple S and Ruwanga Samath on a lot of projects. One of those ended up being this music video for his song Party Girl which was featured in the Netflix original film Reality High. The song also featured renowkned musician and Youtuber DeStorm Power. Although I usually prefer a more hands on content position, I was primarily working as a Casting Director for this project. We had a very short schedule and tight budget, and I was negotiating appearances up until the last few minutes for some of the party scenes.
Short Film - Revelations
I was the Line Producer for Ricardo Miranda's short sci-fi drama Revelations. A multiple month project that saw me doing much more than trying to keep the cast organized and under budget. I spent a lot of time juggling department demands, organizing contracts, and helping the director with various tasks including script editing & revisions as portions of the project were molded to fit within budget or new creative visions by the director. Every day was a new challenge.
