About Me
Who is this guy?
Hello, I'm Jeremy. This is my little website full of curios from my career. I enjoy reading statutes and making J/L cuts. My enemy is the red peak light on mixing consoles.
I started my professional career as an intern for TV 4 in Bullhead City, AZ. I was one of the only candidates with a history of working with editing tools and any knowledge of production, as it became an interest of mine in middle school and I had some training via A/V class in high school and experience with personal projects. Within a few months, I was made a producer. It was excellent, but then the 2007-2008 downturn happened, and our entire staff was cut except for our most senior member. It was quite a blow for an award winning government TV station, and I found myself adrift with no other TV work in the immediate area.
Transferring skills learned from my time at the TV station (and as a result of hobbies and high school training), I became a freelance graphic and web designer for many years. I even joined a firm as an account manager. During the 2010's the trend to integrate web marketing and other design services required me to undergo a lot of industry training as a web marketer. While a valuable experience, the firm wasn't really built to deliver on that scale and I left to pursue work in California as a talent manager.
It was during the course of studying the ins & outs of the music business that I became interested in law. Agreements, statutory requirements, licensing, and IP protection are just a few of the many legal matters involved in the background of music administration. When all the talent I was working with ceased their activities, I decided to return to school to pursue law. I began attending Fullerton College in Fall of 2019 and graduated a few years later as a paralegal.
I am currently enrolled at California State University of Fullerton's College of Business and Economics, and intend to continue into law school to eventually work in the international corporate law arena.
